        CnY celebrations..

yah, his class having potluck. Dunno what to bring oso. Any ideas?

Thinking of steaming some corn, small slices of corn on cob. at least something healthy. or get the maid to cook some pasta?

He is already feasting on CNY gooodies in school. Got one day brought a slice of individual bak kwa back home, contributed by a classmate. I saw the tins of JI DAN GAO and Ji Dao JUAN and all the unhealthy CNY food stuffs well displayed in his classroom.

Just cannot let go 😞 Am I the only one?

          hi Smurfy,

Same here! So worried that my DD will feast on the CNY goodies in school since she is forbidden to eat at home.

Oh yr school is potluck? So its going to be a lunch thingy?
Mine is suppose to bring CNY goodies.
Wanted to get those gold coins but its chocolate inside, scare its too heaty.
Get small cup jelly, scare they get choke!
Seems that there is no perfect CNY goodies that is safe and non heaty for the children.
          :?

The steamboat is for the children only. There is another celebration in mid Feb for parents and children

actually i feel... esp for my centre, they are not tat protective to the kids.
alot of things they actually \"training\" the kid to do it themselves/to be careful etc.

like a montessori i visited recently, they using \"glass\" utensils!
we would never let our kid even go near it right!! but the P there says - well, of cos it's dangerous \"if not handle well\". tat's why we need to train them from young...

so generally i am fine... but of cos, if hv accidents.. i am going to scream at them! hahahaa

the part on training kids on \"glass\" (u refering to porcelin or ceramic right?) utensils is fine. but not in a grp env of all kids. accidents easily happens if one bump into another and drops the utensils. anyway u are not going to put #2 there right? 😛 my mum oso let QY use glass cups at her place -_-'

kekeke but i over protective on food things lor.. i scared not totally cooked ~!~!~ doing w/o steam boat at my home this year as well.. 😄
