My DS had a bad fall and kena put on liquid/bland diet for two weeks ..

Now instead of displayind and preparing, we have to 'hide' all the goodies..
Maybe I can look forward to putting on less weight this CNY... 😛

I LOVE lion dance!!! i will chase after as many lion dance performances as i can! It is only with the lion dance that i can feel the CNY mood.

i like the noise hahahahaha !
i like giving out ang pows!! (i'm nowhere near break even despite having 2 kids)
CNY is boring...the visiting and drama-ing at hubby's place. Can't wait to escape.

But I love lion dance too, esp the noise gives a true feel of CNY.
Of course what I enjoy most is the 2 days break of not having to think about son's school work. Sitting in front of the TV watching program after program. I love it !!! :celebrate:

          Sun_2010:

This is one holiday that i really really look forward to.

          Why?

Being non-chinese, its all play and no work for me.

I soak in the festive atmosphere , dig in the caloried filled love letters, so much of read , my fav colour in the air, mandirin oranges and of course Long long weekend to laze around and no real responsibilities 😉

          :celebrate:

          *envy* :gloomy:

I think non-chinese will enjoy more than chinese during CNY in SG.

Sadly…no. I don’t have the spirit anymore, and I’m still afraid of the past CNY in which the fear of that horrible thing (not related to CNY) and how overwhelming the celebrations were.

This year would definitely go better.

CNY can be boring with all the visitations. Non-Chinese can enjoy the holiday but do remember to stock up their fridge bcos stalls will be closed and food may be stale. I once had diarrhea after eating at hawker centre on the 4th day of CNY.

I just hope it does not rain too much. Otherwise may have to postpone favourite visitations also…

Oh really? That's bad. Then in this case, it's safer to dine at McDonald's... 😉

One of the reasons y I dislike CNY :

Madness in Supermarket. Its beena nightmare everyone is buying pushing. Think you might even need a special license to push trolley. Its really a challenge to grab what u need throw it in the trolley, push it through the crowd without crashing into something. 😄

                      Anyways::

Markets will be closed 2moro (I think) and what's left to be sold are the leftovers. Even though supermarkets are opened, but what is avail are also leftovers.
My mum said eggs sold out at Shop n Save.
