Some time ago, a few of you were discussing about reckless PH bus drivers. This morning, I witnessed it for myself when I was sending DD to school.
I was appalled to see such bad driving habits of the driver. We were all in the queue to get out of Bt Timah exit (I was the first car near SHELL waiting to turn left), when the bus driver cut out dangerously from the right lane of the bend, and immediately swerved to cut into the left lane of the straight road. Missed my car by a few mm causing my car's front sensor to beep incessantly. In order to prevent him from scraping my car, I had to also reverse my car along the bend (when the car behind me was also inches away), just to let him pass in front of me?! While cutting out, he also almost hit onto another car which was in the queue!! Can you imagine, if I had not given way to him, it would have caused an accident and the entire bus-load of kids would have been late for school?
Next, for whatever reason, within seconds of cutting into the left lane to enter the school, he swerved to the next lane, all within seconds.. and seconds later, again he tried to cut in the left lane, just to enter Pei Hwa Road, almost causing an accident with another car!!
Can you imagine me witnessing the bus driver causing so much chaos and incessant horning all within that few hundred metres stretch of road amid the heavy rain??!! I cannot imagine the journey along the way before reaching Bt Timah exit!!
Worse still, there was a boy standing at his seat on the left front of the bus, just beside the driver. Gosh, he wasn't buckled but was standing instead!! If the accident had happened, this poor boy would have been thrown off his seat!!
I think parents should feedback to the bus company to \"educate\" their drivers on good (or at least better) driving habits and also ensure that all kids are seated and buckled... OR... If P is reading this thread, please do something about it, as it concerns bus-loads of PH kids' safety...
To all the PH daddies out there, in case you are thinking, must be lady driver kayu to cause all these...
Thank goodness DH decided to tag along this morning, for the fun of it. He witnessed everything and agreed I wasn't at fault at all... yeah!!

Jennifer:
Other than the change in title for Math, the rest remains the same.
Can check with u the textbooks P5 pupils are using this year? I am still keeping my elder boy's textbooks. If the sch is not using anymore, I will discard them. Really hard up for space now. Many thanks.janet_lee88:
HI Jennifer,
Glad to 'see' you back.
Hey everyone,
It's going to be CNY soon...have you all bought food to stock up your fridge yet ? School will be dismissed on 10am this Wed.
Math textbook from this year has changed to 'My Pals Are Here' by Marshall Cavendish...no longer 'Shaping Maths'. -
Jennifer:
If I am not wrong, there is only 2 blocks in Signature Park that is within 1 km, the rest are 1-2km. Do check.I believe Signature Park is within 1km of the sch.

Yipee ...... finally \"Shaping Maths\" is phasing out.
\"My Pals\" is a lot better. -

From what I heard, Shaping Maths is going to be revamped.janet_lee88:

\"My Pals\" is a lot better.
But 'My Pals' publisher (Marshall Cavendish) is coming in very strong for school textbooks...so several titles under this publisher for assessment books are popular. -
