Next time, you can try google or yahoo search.
        Then type:
        Meaning of \"Coming of age\"

Usually it will show good responses. Then pick reliable websites to read. πŸ™‚

          I need some help on S & T:

          (1) Susan could not participate in the game, so I took her place and participated in the game.
          … in place of …

          (2) "Where is the orphanage in this village?" asked the volunteers.
          The volunteers asked …

          Thank-you.

                Dear all,

                Another question on S&T:

Karen was allowed to use the art materials. She must put them back in their original positions after using them.
                … provided that…

My answer: Karen was allowed to use the art materials provided that she put them back in their original positions after using them.

                Thank-you.

                Cheers,
                Belle

                  Hi Belle2011

Provided that is a connecting word which expresses a condition.
It means if, or only if.

I am more inclined to go for

Karen would be allowed to use the art materials provided that she put them back in their original positions after using them.

                  Best wishes
