Hi auntieM,
Hope your DS is on the road to recovery ...

He opens his mouth and I aim and throw in.. ..just to avoid chewing with the front teeth... :P[/quote]This sounds familiar...this was what I had to do with my son after his bone graft op...nurses advised me to make rich soup for him. Even food that is blended is NO-NO because food is not supposed to be stuck on his teeth. -

Reunion Dinner (Survival Nite) ....survived
CNY Days (Survival Day+ endless) ...road long long ahhh...
Do have a great CNY to all out there!
:celebrate: -
Can't help but reflect that this CNY seems to be quite problem and fuss-free. For one, my mother has a maid to help her this year and she was in a much better and less stressed mood which helps! Last time, she would be yelling at my dad/brothers etc.. about this or that since she was the main person preparing the reunion dinner. This year, all peaceful and quite pleasant!
Secondly, it seems to be quite common for folks to have TWO reunion dinners on the same night. Wow!
No such problems for us because my brother has a Chinese wife and her relatives are all in China hence they need only to come to my parents' place for reunion dinner that's it, no need to run around!
As for me, since my hubby is not Chinese, no such issues for me too! We just go my parents' place for re-union dinner and no visitation needed during 1st day as well. Last year used to go on 1st day but this year decided not to since I have already done all the gift delivery. Have invited them to come to our house for lunch this Saturday instead.
Happy CNY!

Ever since my parents passed away donkey moons ago, my siblings and I (there are 10 of us) see each other only during CNY; at my eldest sisterβs and brotherβs house.
This year, my eldest brother and sister went on holidays so there was no visitation. MIL was discharged from hospital (after a 4-month stay in hospital) on the eve of CNY. My hubby and I had to stay at home to look after her.
A very quiet CNY for me this year, but saved on all the angpows for my nieces and nephews! -
