I thought to share with all a new CL tuition centre I found for my elder boy as my 1st CNY contribution.

Since mid P5, my elder boy attended a CL tuition centre at Bt Timah Plaza. His results improved and attained a A in PSLE. Hence we continued the tuition with the same centre but diff tutor last year when he was in sec 1.

Unfortunately, his sch CL results went downhill despite good feedback from the tutor.

Due to logistic issue (Bt Timah Plaza could not open a class for him, we had to go to Thomson Plaza HQ), I withdrew him.

I chanced upon this ulu looking centre at Beauty World Centre. After talking to the tutor (whose dd was also from Pei Hwa, graduated same year as my elder boy, she is studying in RV now), I decided to enrol him in this centre.

So far, my elder boy has attended 2 lessons. Each lesson is supposed to be 2 hours ($34 per lesson, 10 lessons per term) but she often extends the timing so that she can explain the same day worksheet the student has completed in the class. IMO she is very detailed in her explanation to some extent my elder boy thinks she is quite long winded. No nonsense type tutor.

Her class is made up of a few students (not necessary in the same std, some sec 2 n some sec 3). Our 1st appt was a diagnostic test. After reviewing the worksheets, she will come up with an individualised package for the student.

Towards the end of the lesson, she welcomes the parent to sit in to listen to her explanation abt the child’s worksheets. The student is also given homework.

During the sch hols, the centre held classes for Normal CL curriculum for those students studying Higher CL in sch.

Hope some of you might find this info useful.

P.S. I am not related to the tutor nor do I get referral rebates.

I was told this wet mkt only has 1 roast poultry/char siew stall. On Tues, I was at the wet mkt, saw a long q at this stall (opp the last row of pork stall) and bou 300g of char siew from the stall. The char siew is juicy and not too sweet.

U Should Also Try the Roast Duck, or their \"Ru-Ya\" (Non-Roasted Ones), Taste Good Too ....
