I have been teaching my girl the importance of money, but I may have gone a little overboard ๐Ÿ˜‰

I taught DS1 the importance of only buying when there are discounts. Now he'll auto tell me (and his little bro) the same.

Nothing wrong in such teaching - just so long as the obsession is not Silas Marner style.

Yes it is very important to buy only when there are discounts, I do the same thing too ๐Ÿ˜‰

I always tell my children, I will only buy if the item is on sale, and I explain why. Also when shopping, I do not buy \"on impulse\", I will not buy just coz they see it and like it. Other than special occasions, strictly no buying unless i agree before hand (eg a reward), so they know, not to ask me get anything when we shop. I used to wonder if I am a bit too unkind, but am happy to know you do the same too ๐Ÿ™‚

Sometimes discount may not be discounts, merchants may increase the prices artificially and then out a discount sign and said that it's discounted.

I thought I saw hundreds of these books in Popular bookstores last year, surprised that they go OOS.
