No. All P2 classes are the same as P1.

        \"streaming\" starts at P3.

          hi,

for Pri 1, is there streaming in beginning Term 1 January ?

if yes, which subject is it based on ?
mother tongue alone, or english, or maths ?

          No streaming.

but during the parent teacher meeting last sat, the teacher mentioned they will \"Screen\" thru the students and parents will be informed if the students need remedial classes rite. also a form of streaming? also for chinese, they will separate the class according to their chinese competence level is it?

That’s for remedia classes, which are additional small group based tuition for those students that need a little more coaching. Once any child is deemed to have caught up with the rest, the child can stop attending. Any child that has fallen behind, will be recommended and encouraged to attend. Parents can opt their children out of remedial classes if they are picked.

For DS class, there are only 4 children that require extra coaching this term.

Is remedial class conducted before or during school hours? Any idea what is the teacher-student ratio for the class?

                Hi there

I missed the parent teacher get together session for Primary One students that was held over the weekend just before CNY. Can anyone share what happened during the session (in particular for Pri 1B) and if I should contact the form teachers to arrange a separate session?

                  Qns

my Pr2 DS brought home a 4 paragraph Class Dictated Story (CDS) unit 2 - bubble troubles.

Is this entire 4 paragraphed CDS meant for dictation? 😞

Hi…would like to check if gymnastics is considered under DSA? Thanks

For all those keen on joining Badminton school team (usually from P3 onwards I think), it is advisable for your child to be enrolled in the enrichment class in P1. By P3, badminton is only offered as CCA and the school team is formed with those who joined the enrichment classes since lower primary. Badminton CCA also usually is very "hot" and selection is usually required just to join as CCA. Badminton has always been very strong in TNS. Won many competitions in the past. For parents planning ahead for DSA (Direct School Admission) with sports, and in particular badminton, you may want to take note.

                    Hope the above helps.[/quote]

Sorry Tankee, have no idea on this. Not sure my ds had this in P2.

                        Hi Starrenee,
You will need to check the secondary schools which you are targeting to see if Gymnastics is 1 of the CCAs that the school focus on. Perhaps you want to check those sec schools' websites?
