Hi, I would like to hear your opinions on 新朋友, which is somewhat like a Chinese magazine with exercises and simple games.


I believe some CL classes in MBS are using it as homework.

I’ve looked through the magazine and it seems to me that the difficulty level is too high. For example, my DD (P2) isn’t familiar with almost one-quarter of the chinese characters used in a cloze passage. Fortunately for her, I was around and helped her with most of the questions.

Does your child need a lot of help when doing the exercises in 新朋友?

[Rant] Nowadays, it seems homework is set for the pupils AND their parents! I heard that in the upper levels (P4-6), school projects are actually completed mostly by parents. I really pity those kids whose parents can’t help.
