This article is interesting. RMPS in the Top 20 primary school list is based on which year edition?

In KSP forum the ranking is different as it is computed against the top 275 PSLE aggregate points.

I was informed by my DS that there is going to be a MT test this week. Wah! this is really tough ...having a test after the CNY holidays. Is this the same case for the other classes as well?

This year, the teachers will not give advanced notice when tests will be conducted. The teachers will observe the students and decide when the tests will take place.

So, perhaps, your son's class is ready for the test? :scratchhead:

Hmmm!!! Is this really the case...no prior notice :scared: :nailbite:
So they are really looking at consistency in work rather than 1 time wonders......

Let's keep one another posted should we hear 'wind' of any tests coming along so that both the kids and mummies/daddies will not be shock .... :!:

                Hi Parents,

                Do you know if

                - when are we suppose to submit the iRead Log
                - are we suppose to complete the whole booklet on just the one book that our kid is reading
                - what is the target number of books that the kids are suppose to read

Any other information to share? This mummy here is lost :?:

Do you mean the green book? My boy's English teacher collected the book last month, and keeps it with her now.

Not sure what you meant. :scratchhead:

The iRead Program consists of 33 books. Every student brings back one book to read for one week, after which he or she brings back to school to exchange for another book.

I guess it depends on the way it is implemented by the teacher. For my boy's class, he exchanges the books with his friends, write down the title of the books in the log book, and hand in the log book to his teacher for safe keeping. Since the program has 33 books in total, I suppose you can say that the target number of books to be read is 33? If I am not wrong, the students are allowed to change the books only once a week.

My God! The green book is still at home ...he was given a A4 size paper booklet to fill. I had better check with his FT ....sigh 😞

Aiyah...the implementation of the iRead programme is not clear...i really need to talk to his FT...

Thanks for the info...as usual my DS has \"GOLD\" in his mouth that he is afraid it will drop out once he opens it.... 😞

I thought they had this program last year when they were in P1? :scratchhead:

Haha....my boy kept the same book at home for the year. When I asked him to bring to school to return ...he brought back the same book not only once but many occasions. 😞

Headache for me 😢 That's why i encourage him to read story books such as Beast Quest and Geronimo Stilton. He also does borrow books from the library though
