Do you mean the green book? My boy's English teacher collected the book last month, and keeps it with her now.- when are we suppose to submit the iRead Log
famangelina31:
Not sure what you meant. :scratchhead:- are we suppose to complete the whole booklet on just the one book that our kid is reading
The iRead Program consists of 33 books. Every student brings back one book to read for one week, after which he or she brings back to school to exchange for another book.famangelina31:
I guess it depends on the way it is implemented by the teacher. For my boy's class, he exchanges the books with his friends, write down the title of the books in the log book, and hand in the log book to his teacher for safe keeping. Since the program has 33 books in total, I suppose you can say that the target number of books to be read is 33? If I am not wrong, the students are allowed to change the books only once a week.- what is the target number of books that the kids are suppose to read

My God! The green book is still at home ...he was given a A4 size paper booklet to fill. I had better check with his FT ....sigh

Aiyah...the implementation of the iRead programme is not clear...i really need to talk to his FT...
Thanks for the info...as usual my DS has \"GOLD\" in his mouth that he is afraid it will drop out once he opens it....

Haha....my boy kept the same book at home for the year. When I asked him to bring to school to return ...he brought back the same book not only once but many occasions.
Headache for me
That's why i encourage him to read story books such as Beast Quest and Geronimo Stilton. He also does borrow books from the library though

Oh what “I Read program” this is all about? They have started this in P1?
I am still in “Jurassic Park” era period. -

I didn't know that they are supposed to wait for the teachers to assign them with books. My dd has been filling up the book since the day she started school. I thought it was a own time own target thing.Hi Parents,

Your DD is very discipline. So the books are those that she borrow from the library?
Does the FT give them a book to read? My DS FT does but he have the same book for the whole of last year!

My dd enjoys reading but does not borrow any books from the library. She has a bad record of borrowing and not returning. The last time it happened, i was fined $37 by NLB. I was so mad, I told her not to borrow anymore books! I usually buy them or borrow from my niece.Your DD is very discipline. So the books are those that she borrow from the library?

The iRead Program has just started. You may like to check with your girl again.
