      DesertWind:
      Hi mummies of ACSJ,

What are the school hours please? Are they having single or double sessions?

      Thanks & regards,
      Desertwind.

[Post note: I already found out that the hours are from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm! ]
The school starts at 7:30am and they are on single session (Morning).
Recently they have adjusted the School Chimes. There will be 2 ring bells.
First ring at 7:25am to remind the boys to start moving to assembly point while the 2nd ring bell at 7:30am signal the start of school.

        [quote=\"Koolmama\"]Hiya!!

DH was from Oldham. He was quite active in track & field, and he was most upset that DS1 was sent to LSG (grey shirt)! Sorry, but I don't get it lor...

was at acs (primary) one day and saw 2 boys with just the blue shorts on. :? when i got closer to them, realised they were actually wearing the brown house t shirt. the skin colour sort of blended well with the t shirt colour so look naked to me from a distance.

            Hi,

Does anyone know how many times PE there is for P1 kids? And on PE days, do they go to sch in their PE attire or they change only during PE time?

Also, are the P1 classes located on ground floor? DS is very small size, I’m really concerned abt him carrying his bag up and down the stairs with so many other boys who wld be dashing down!

            Thanks in advance!

              Hi Windie!

PE most likely to be 3 times a week for P1 & P2.
For PE days, let your boy put on the Tank Top and wear the white shirt over it and with the school blue short. Dun bother to buy the PE short. They dun get to wear it. During PE lesson, the boys will just remove the white shirt and then go straight for PE lesson, cos no time to change.

P1 classes? Hmm.. for the past years, classes are usually on the 2nd & 3rd floor. Dun worry, they get use to carrying their bags up and down. During orientation, if I remember correctly, school will inform you what to bring for the 1st few days. And teachers will usually keep books (eg. workbooks) in the cabinets for them.

I believe your DS will love the school.

There should be orientation where parents will get to tour the school while your DS will know his class and classmates.

When school starts, there will be a buddy from the senior boy assigned to assist your DS for the first few days especially during recess time.

Everything is taken care of, the only worries that you might have is that there aren’t any homework initially! This is the part I like about ACSJ.

School is not all about study, ACSJ balances that well.

                      Hi Windie and Rivevae,

I can imagine your excitement and happiness! Coz I did the same when I knew that my DS secured a place at ACSJ!

For a start, you may want to look at the school photos and the corporate video (which is a very good showcase of the CCAs that they offer and focus in).

Have fun surfing the school website, and it's a good way to get your DS to know more about his future school and environment.

Am impressed with their CCAs after checking out those young all-rounders' performances. Now I'm worried if my son could cope with it πŸ˜“ he's a lazy bump
