Hi, just to share something interesting.

Yesterday dd asked me the meaning of 萍水相逢 that she heard it from one of the Taiwan show. In addition to this, I share with her a song of 萍聚:

      別管以后将如何結束至少我们曾经相聚过
      不必費心的彼此約束更不須要言語的承诺
      只要我们曾经拥有过对你我來讲已经足夠
      人的一生有許多回忆只愿你的追忆有个我

I also tell her she can apply some part of the ge ci to her CL compo. when writing a story like P6 graduation or going to separating with good friend etc

        Brenda,

Thanks for sharing 😄 It's a very meaningful song.

I used to love listening to Chinese songs, but quite out of touch nowadays.

          Hi Tamarind

          You're welcome.

Another interesting thing is that dd yesterday asked me to goggle the song of 王昭君出塞曲. She told me that that 王昭君 is one of the China four Beauties and she gets this info. from Xiao bai long.

            Brenda,
I am really impressed that you have successfully developed a good interest in the Chinese language and culture in your dd. My girl likes to read Chinese novels now, but I do hope that she will also be interested in the history and culture of China like your dd does 😄

              Hi tamarind

In fact the series of xiao bai long carry plenty of China history and culture; I remembered the story inclusive of 赶尸,秦始皇,缠足,刺绣 etc. We had bought total about more than 30 books two years ago in book fair and popular.

Sorry of my poor HYPY and it should be xiao bai long instead. This is the comics come with few short stories per book. The main characters are stories of 阿伦 and 小白龙. The contents are printed without HYPY and they do include the HYPY for certain difficult word at the bottom of the respective page.

                    Hi Tanarind,

I have one qn. If we just get the child to read and when they come across words which they do not know and we explain to them the meaning. But if they do use than in their speech or compo, how are they going to improve their chinese??

I am at a dilemma on how to teach my son one boy chinese…
                    Can advise?

                    Tx

Don't have a scanner but you can see this link for the outlook of the book and a sample page.

Got it two - three years ago during the book fair and some popular may still have serial 36 or 37.

                        Thank you
