wat's ICL? I Creative Learning? how u got a space in there? i keep writing into their \"drop box\" no response kekekeke
FYI, on piano, if your kid isn't taken with that, it may be an ardous journey. DS1 goes for piano lessons and he hates it. But mummy here want him to have a skill she don't have - so boh pian. Understand from others that it's a hate hate journey until they reach a certain level of proficiency then they will realise the fruits of their labour.smurfy:
hmm i am looking at Berries for him.. should be going for trial soon? will be introducing him to something he's strong in first.. so that he's able to settle in then go into english
english, which is better? ICR or LW?
wat others are advisable for their age @ 4? he's starting his first art lesson this sat at artloft. errr i am testing him on piano.. whether to start or stop.
And on english enrichment, my DSes are on ICL - find they are good; but it's a lot of work - so you have to be prepared. Enrolment fills up super fast but if you are lucky maybe there will be some that pull out.
ur son got practice piano everyday?? when did u make the investment of a piano?? after how many months??? -
muahhhhh now i got all the experts to advise me, coz u all went thr this path of enrichment oredi kekekeke

Ya I know it's a survival skill. I've been putting it off........But with so much news about floods, maybe it's time for me to review the timing. Sigh....my nearest swimming pool is the one by Mr Ang Peng Siong, dunno how much he charged. If kid able to swim before they are in P1, does it mean they do not need to take it up?
P1 no mention. Although this is part of my kids' itinerary becos I think it's a must have skill.SAHM_TAN:
Hi hquek,

APS charges $113.40 per month - one holiday week every year (payment as usual). it's very structured, so that's good. But traffic gets really hairy (for drivers) on weekends.

I dunno ans to your 2nd q; but if they already know, I don't think they must take it up - quite weird if they have to right? Anyway, swimming is not one of the cca (at least nothing I remember) -

Music for me is a must, to me it's like soul.......I had piano but for my kids I'm pushing them to violin becos home too small for a piano. Finally found a right teacher for DD, now she's starting to enjoy it. Plus she's into fashion and cute cute stuff, so I bought some cute stuff for her instrument, now she's more motivated to play it everyday hahaha

That's right. I emailed them and managed to secure a place in Outram Park. Call them up and see how. I hear that they DO respond to registration done this way. Waitlist if you must.

Sorry, but my fren whose kid born in 2009 has no space becos she signed up late (her registration is in this year). There are other centres (clementi) that seems to accomodate more children.
But fret not if you don't sign your child up, read to your child everyday and get him interested in reading. I believe this is the magic of ICL (parents are to read to our kid everyday). All will be fine.
I make my son practice piano - almost everyday (somedays we return late then no practice). He went on 2 years with Yamaha - JMC and then I changed him to Classical piano course (becos the next level didn't have any timings that work for us) - it was only after this that I bought a 2nd hand piano. Teacher told us that if he is to continue with piano class, he must have piano...how to learn swimming if cannot practice in a pool? -

Wow he so on, only one holiday week :!: But then again, he used to be the fastest swimmer for the 50m. DD has been nagging me about swimming, not quite sure why, maybe it's the pretty swim wear.

Thanks, will check it out. Traffic no issue, as it's walking distance for us. We just have to look left and right several times. I just need to find the energy for it........baby like koala and I'm the only tree that can appease her......sigh.
Good thing boy pass the 2nd hurdle which is no diaper during the school bus journey, which is quite long. So maybe the money saved from his diapers can go to his sister's swimming lessons hahaha -
my ds no interest in swimming lesson so probably will join if he does go to HW next year, hope peer pressure will make him interested.

My DD used to learn from APS also. I found it good cos the pool is not open for public. Once they finish the lesson they will leave the pool. Which means no distraction.
Compared to those public swimming pool can see a lot of small kids playing n some Bikini hot babe walking here n there… -

Call up and find out if there is space for a timing that works for you. There will be a free assessment prior. BTW, the toilets in APS farrer park do NOT have hot water. Though after an hour or so in the pool, it shouldn't quite matter.
