I read from the sch mag that this TTLT programme is reserved for the top 20 plus students in PH. It's like the top half of the best class in P4.

A casual reading of the last 2 pages revealed that so many of you are parents of 陪华精英 😓 . And I think I also know at least 3 of next year batch of 精英.

In the company of giants, think I better don't talk so much from today onwards ...... 👅

brother, what 陪华精英? should be 培华精英 。。。。

Don't know previous year's TTLT, but this year definitely more than 20, should around 40 for TTLT MA.
My son said there were more than 60 pupils with MA and EL combined.

Maybe it was decided to cast the net wider this year.

Has P4 pupils been doing CL compreh exercises?

I dun see my P4 boy bringing home any completed CL compreh worksheets. Beginning to worry esp CA1 is approaching soon.

I see that my P4 boy is calling his classmates daily to check if there is any sch work he missed out. Turned out his FT is very strict and keeps a record of who did not complete assignments.
I dun remember my son doing CL comprehension at home. But then I may be wrong, as I only check his work if he asks questions.

The previous years the sch prepared a booklet of CL worksheets as supplementary materials. This year, there was no indication of supplementary materials (EL n CL) in the booklist nor was there a request for payment for such worksheets (sch letter dated 20 Jan).

Has the sch decided to do away with written work?

The subscription for the CL reading material (Da Mu Zhi) is also not given to the pupils yet. Yet we paid $16 (full price for whole year subscription).

Yes, from the 活动本. Could it be he did them in school? Mine files completed works that CL tr marked in the chinese file and brings the file to school everyday.

IMO the 活动本 is not sufficient practice. Moreover, Ph CL std is pitched at higher than national avg.

I hv not seen the CL file back yet too.

My P4 boy's CL teacher sent us a note that she is setting up a CL reading corner in the classroom and hopes to encourage the pupils to read more. Crossing my fingers her plan works.
