I have this feeling that teachers in top schools don't really teach as the students have enrichment lessons everyday. The real teachers are the parents themselves...with help from tuition centres/tutors.

      u are so....right ! :goodpost:

As a parent, I find it tough to coach 2 kids in their school work…forget about having #3. Education is not easy now and parents really have to be hands-on. Even if parents can afford to hire tutors, you can’t leave everything to them. Some tutors will play parents out if they know parents rely on them.

My son is a SAP school…very fortunately, his teachers do teach and as such hubby and I are somewhat relieved we don’t have to find a tutor to double up as a teacher.

Yes, it's tough to teach compo. His school teachers do teach the students how to write compos.

Hi, I’m new here and have qn on p1 registration. I would like to know can we use our parents’ address to register for our kid for p1? As we are both working so my mum is helping me to look after my kid. Can we still do that now? Thanks

If you intend to use your mum's address, you need to go to MOE to make a formal declaration together with your mother that she's looking after your child and that she's not working.

If you are registering your child using your mother's address, please note that your child will be under the 1-2 km category, even though your mother may be living next to the school. Hence, if the school in concern conducts balloting only for those within 1 km, sorry, your child will not even get the chance to undergo balloting.

didn’t know there’s so much rules and regulation now.
