Just being curious, why not consider other good schools nearby as there are other reputable primary schools?

all reputable school nearby all required balloting under 2C
1) Singapore Chinese Girls
2) Methodist Girls
3) Pei Hwa Presbytarian
4) The only one which escape balloting this year is Henry Park. Still most of the time balloting is required for this school

NYPS has 4 GEP classes. RGPS has 3 GEP classes. I believe most of the others only have 2 GEP classes. Not sure if any of the other centres have 3 GEP classes.

Here is website to check the number of GEP classes.

http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/programmes/gifted-education-programme/faq/gep-schools/

Not sure why Tao Nan has 2 classes in P4 but 3 classes in P5/6.

They probably had lower intake last year which could only fill up 2 classes.
each year Pri 1 registration under phase 2B, a certain percentage or certain number of seats is being set aside, to those who apply under rc category.

Is that true? :?

Not true. Everyone in 2B stands equal chance. If demand is > places available, then balloting is required.
Thanks Busymom. ๐Ÿ˜„
