Thanks. I have checked with her and got to know that she had changed seat again as the teacher wants her to help one of her classmate. She said the previous classmate not helping, that's why.

Hi jesyeo,Hi funkymonkey,
The reason why I wanted to know is because I am a bit worry on my DD2. When she try to read, she tends to start from the right to left. When she trace words, she also start from the right. This morning she wrote a number 4 for me, and guess what, she wrote a mirror image of 4! Is that a sign of Dyslexic?
How old's your DD2?
Some kids especially the lefties do some reversal letter/mirror image.
My gal sometimes write \"ouy\" instead of \"you\" and will even miss reading words..reading from right to left (we worked on this for SO LONG) and and misread words like \"far\"as \"for\".They have poor phonetic awareness and rhyming is really difficult for them....i still remembered when DD2 was 3,she rhymed fat, bat, cat ,sat, yellow fellow and DD1 said\" yellow flower\"(!) :!: they complain words are \"moving\" on the board/book and gets headache when reading too long....
If your DD2 gets to K2 and still reads right to left cannot differentiate 6 and 9 poor rhyming and pnonics..maybe should get her tested just in case.It really helps when i knew what was \"wrong\" with my gal.its \"easier\"to help her once we knew what kind of help she needed
Hope this helps

Wow...that's quite a fair bit of maths HW for LSM. Other than the HW, did your DD enjoy her lessons with Ms. Sng? Hope she had fun.
Yes, good luck to all the P1 gals with their MT CA1 on 16-18 Feb. :ugogirl: -

Cool!!! It's really good to hear that your DD enjoys her maths lessons with Ms. Sng. It really makes a BIG difference to a kid if the teacher is patient. Many a times, kids don't dare to ask questions because the teachers are fierce. Wonderful news for you & your DD that Ms Sng is willing to explain many times. Btw, is LSM conducted once a week? -

No,LSM is 8 periods per week and the gals are taken out during their regular math class into another class max size 8 gals.
Thanks for your moral support.I'm just happy and comforted that my gal is learning and she is happy...no matter how \"backwards\"anyone else might think of her    -

You're a indeed a supportive & hands-on mum. Very dedicated to your DD and always ensuring her well-being is not compromised. Can see your love for her is unconditional. Yes, the most important thing is your DD is happy.
