No, mine in not Mrs Tan. She also have homework for English & Chinese. She complained to me that she is very tired everyday after doing all the homework. Is this what we will expect from P3 onwards? Also there is few projects going on. I really got no time for her to do other revision now. Am worried she might not be able to catch up. Poo girl !

Anybody has problem logging into the xuele ? We were told to use bc number and the password is fun123. But I have tried all combi at ion of bc number (with t in front, wo t, with alphabet , with no alphabet, just the 7 digit alone) but kept getting invalid username or password , why ?

Hi , was wondering if you had managed to resolve the issue? I am also facing the same problem. Have tried everything and nothing works!

Hi, not yet. Have not looked into it since then since my dd does not ask for it. Wonder if it is because we need to subscribe to it ?

KSP and 3VS, I dunno who my dd’s math teacher is but she doesnt have much Math homework, or even the other subjects. Mainly spellings and the MT magazine. In fact during the cny weekend she had zero homework at all. Such a great difference between classes??

            Hi all P3 parents

My DD is also in P3 this year. I always thought it is better for her in the morning session as have more time to do her revision in the afternoon. But this year, I realised that she had a lot of homework compared to P1 & P2. Mostly on Maths and Chinese. She will spend all her time doing her homework and have no time or too tired for other work. Anyone facing the some problem?

Yes, my dd has a lot of Maths homework everyday. Even over the long CNY weekends. Is it the same Maths teacher?

 why is my DD's homework so little? no much difference compare to P1& P2. I asked her for her homework, she always told me not much homework except spelling and sometimes magazine work, and seldom math activity work.

My DD also felt tire sometime because of lacking of enough sleep.

Hi 3VS and Ksp, what did your DD do on math and chinese work?is it a worksheet or activity book, or anything else?

Any of the P3 Maths taught by Mrs Tan CP here? Based on past year papers, she is one of the two setters. Just want to check is your dd getting a lot of Maths homework from her or only my dd class?

My DD's math teacher is Mrs Tan. Not much homework leh. But I'm not so sure, as my DD sometimes missed her homework.

              BTW, what \"setters\" mean here?

Yes, my dd also have Sci project every week and is definitely requires parents involvement. I didn't know what to expect for P3 (only child) but somehow we have prepared for it. We already stopped all tuition/enrichment classes to let her focus on her school work and get enough rest during weekends. I really can't imagine if she still have to deal with additional workload.

She sets the exam paper. I saw her name while browsing thru the past year papers.

I did not see my DD do english homework at home for past 1.5 months. For science project, only 1 project (writing an article about mammal), this project give them 2 weeks time to finish it.

Is it really so big difference between classes? :?

Hi everyone, need some advice on this as I’m not very familiar with the system here.

I got a call today from DD’s Chinese teacher. It was out of the blue while I was at the office and I thought it was some emergency. But she basically called to tell me that DD doesn’t really understand her in class and asked if I speak to her at home in Chinese.

I explained to her that we just returned from overseas at the end of last year (after Christmas) after being away for two years and whatever little DD learnt was lost so have to start all over again.

It’s a long story but the gist of it was that my DD couldn’t understand her and can’t speak well and she can’t possibly keep translating for her alone. She even compared her to an Indian girl in her class who is doing better!!! She didn’t even offer a solution!

Bottom line is I know she’s not on par with the rest and have started tuition this year immediately after getting back to SG. But I was really surprised by the negative vibe I got from her and how informal this ‘feedback’ was.

Can any other parent let me know if this is standard practice where the teacher can just call up any time to ‘complain’ about the child? I’ve been advised by colleagues that perhaps I should write to HOD about this but I’m hesitant to ‘cause trouble’.

Would love to hear any comments on this. Thanks in advance for your input!
