Hi the classes that I was talking about is a 3 hour daily session just like pre-school. They cover english phonics, maths and chinese lessons. and they additional enrichment if you want on top of this daily program. so it actually fits my requirement. Go take a look and speak to the supervisor. She is very friendly.

Hi..I am also looking around pre-school for my child. Had shortlisted Living Sanctuary kindergarten (LSK) which is 3 hours class daily. Had gone down to assess and find the curicculum very comprehensive and teachers are experienced, caring & loving. They can convert the classrooms to a supermarket/airport etc. which I find it very interesting. In 2010, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has awarded Living Sanctuary Kindergarten 2 Distinction Awards - Distinction for Kindergarten Innovation Award and Distinction for Best Practice Award for Learning Centres. LSK also organises events like outings, sports day, graduation concerts etc. The teachers and principal also do house visits.

Fee is so cheap (slightly more than $500 per term only). Hard to believe that they are better than the Montessori and others that charges so much more. But it is at Hougang but seeing all the positive comments, believe it is worth the trouble to make school bus arrangement so that the kids can benefit as the quality schools seems to be outside Punggol and Sengkang area.
Anyone with feedback on this school?

          hi,

could anyone recommend a good playgroup in punggol or sengkang for my boy turning 3 in 2011? was about to enrol him at shekinah montessori in punggol plaza but decided against it after reading tons of negative feedback about the school.

would appreciate any kind advise. thanks!

              Hi,

Any mommies whose child is in playgroup in Young Elite cc beside Rivervale Mall ?
Any comments on the playgroup ? Your child well taken care of ?

My son joining in march and seems that there will be another 2 more joining playgroup in Mar too. Hence teacher student ratio is around 1:7.

Do you think teachers can cope with more kids ?

              Appreciate any feedback soon. Thanks!

I paid a visit to the CC sometime back.

It is franchisee/subsidiary of Pat's Schhouse, therefore they follow somewhat more or less the former's curriculum.

Fees are def cheaper than Pat's. If my memory serves me right, its $400 plus after deducting subsidy.

The CC is located on a landed property and its huge. There is a big outdoor play area too. The classrooms are also very spacious.

The P and the teacher who spoke to me were accomodating.

I cannot provide info about classroom teaching because I was there on a Saturday.

I am trying to wrack my brains for more info. If anything comes to mind, I will further contribute.

In the end, I decided on a 3 hrs programme in a church kindy for my DS.

ps: I managed to locate this link which has some info on Masterpiece:

Any parents with experience of having kid(s) in Child Care and kid(s) in BASC respectively? I hv a 2 year old and a 9 year old. Am wondering what is the ideal arrangement to cater to their respective needs, without having to rush like a mad woman to collect the kids before centre closes.

So far, no luck with finding a reliable CCC and a BASC that is within close proximity to each other.

Any parents to share experience and/or opinions. TIA
