and to develop my kids into noble nerds.

Actually, my profile name is an anagram of my husband's and my name. We like how it fits into our aim for our kids.
My eldest will be taking the PSLE this year, and as such, I've decided that I need to 'invest' some time in the KiasuParents forum. I'm a homeschooling parent, so I found it very useful to read what tips and guidelines there are for children undergoing the PSLE. I don't wish to be only a consumer, and therefore, I hope to contribute to the discussions in this forum too.
My younger kids are both in preschool, and they are in a kindergarten programme.
We homeschool because we believe that school may not be for everybody, and we are thankful that we have the means and ability to homeschool as an option for our son. Thus far, it appears that the younger ones are thriving in school, but we remain open for them if ever they feel that the school environment isn't a learning environment for their growth.
While we aim for our son to complete his primary school education by scoring within the 33rd percentile, we are still considering whether to continue with homeschooling for his secondary school years. I suppose we'll gain clarity in the ensuing months.
I hope to meet other parents here for engaging discussions about our kids, our journey as parents or just general chit-chats. :celebrate: -
