An update from one of my friends who contacted Ms Serena recently. She is not taking in any more P6 pupils as PSLE is just two to three months away. My friend had wanted to send her girl to Ms Serena’s place for lessons as PSLE is around the corner. However, Ms Serena gave her some suggestions on how to help her girl during this period.

Got a few pm to share more on how composition is taught by Ms Serena. She would expose my DS to good phrases used in story books by authors. Once, my DS was very excited when he read a book by Roald Dahl (can’t remember the title of the book). He told me excitedly that he was taught a few phrases on feelings from the book. I was happy to see him so excited. I was happy to see that he developed the love for writing after having lessons with Ms Serena. He was always "pestering" Ms Serena, asking her if they would write another composition. His compositions improved and he was scoring above 30 consistently in P6. The transformation was amazing as he used to hate writing Think Ms Serena has started a blog but I can’t remember the address.
