with so many unhappy residents, so many complaint letters in one day, RGPS parents please take note : some drastic actions is going to be taken

What actions should that be? by school or by Land authority? moving school to other place earlier? very curcious about it.

I went out from home at 6:25, sent my DD to school by taking bus, we catch the 1st 961 today, arrived to school at 7:05.

I think the school should also think of ways to improve the flow of traffic within the school especially at the drop off area/canteen.

Some kids take their own sweet time to alight from the car… and hence jam up the incoming traffic.

So the school should consider to designate another official drop off point.

may be tomorrow you see lots of TP mobile squad there on enforcement action ? :rotflmao:

enough of complaints will see actions from the authorities, or when an accident happen

move the school ? just don't understand why they squeeze RGPS in there of all places, fighting for space with NJC which is also very tight and short of space .......

like lots of residents who complained, take 5 minutes to get out but more than 30 minutes to get through that 0.5km stretch

Especially kids who have their schoolbags in the boot or back of the car. So they get out of the car, go to the boot, open the boot, take out the bag, close the boot, wave goodbye to the father/mother... The kids should just have their bags ready with them, jump out of the car and go.

Wait til the school is one session. Then you'll have the P1 parents coming out of the car to hug and kiss their darlings goodbye before getting back into the car and driving off.

Mine also prepares for bed at 8.30 and in bed by 9. What time she actually falls asleep is a mystery which I like to keep...means it's up to her since my job for the day is done.

She wakes at 6.10am which seems to be enough sleep for her.
😄 Most of time, my DD can fall asleep very soon, but sometimes, she try to come out for water, or talking enen after 30min later of light off.

My DD slept quite later last night, as I suddenly thought about her Chinese spelling, I was told she has done by herself in the afternoon...but I was wrong, she ignored the spelling. sigh, I have to spent an hour to do with her. it was a tough time both for us last night. :x

Oh! jtoh, you have pointed out what my friend has been doing over at SCGS. She and her hubby will park their car at the bus bay near the side gate.

Both of the them then alight from the car and put on the school bags for her 3 darling girls and hug and kiss their darlings goodbye before getting back into the car and driving off.

i’m a resident in the area. I think most residents understand that there is a school in the area and has been putting up with the inconveniences for years. my biggest problem is getting parked in, and parents parking illegally. There was a mom who regularly parks at the stop line of watten rise and watten drive or at road bends. With the heavy traffic, and cars parked along the road, she was just pushing things too far with her selfishness. The TP and NP refused to do anything. How do you think reaidents feel? I can put up with the heavy traffic, it’s part and parcel of living near a school, but spare some thoughts for others. There are plenty of legal parking spots, if parents are willing to walk two extra steps.
