Although my family may have to go through equal uncertainties in terms of PV work, balloting etc very soon, I felt very inspired and warm after reading some of the posts here.


It is nice to know that I am not suffering all these anxieties alone and that in the end, I could find support here and things will somehow work out.

I still think that it is not right that TUR at 2A hit higher than 60%. For 2010 registation, Catholic high was 91% and Nanyang 82%. There are many above 70%. How can it be called a public school when the school is effectively out of reach to the general public (2B/C)?

heh heh citygirl, my kid is in P1 this year - did my share of nailbiting last year. So glad to be able to put all this behind me.

Parents who have gone through the nail-biting and heart-thumping stress would know the craziness of P1 registration. I wish you all the best, hope all this is the one time you will suffer for 1st kid and enjoy Phase 1 subsequently regardless which part of the island you are staying.

There’s no 100% fair rules, what about some parents who rent an apartment within 1km of the school? That is also unfair for 2C applicants. Maybe MOE should ensure all address used must be own property, no temp or rented address will be accepted. So not only see IC address must produce proof of ownership…

Since I have gotten my kids into preferred school, must hope for system to remain so that my grandkids can benefit from their parents (my kids) being alumni!!! :laugh: :rotflmao:

that school still around come my grandkids' time :laugh: else they will be the ones
