PM Lee urges more babies in Year of Rabbit

If she loves kids, then she should not bring so many to this world to suffer. She should have gone for tubal ligation after she gave birth to the first baby.
Think of it this way. If God didn't want her to have all those kids, she wouldn't. -
phankao:
There is something called birth control pills. Also note that many married women are going for abortion because they don't want to have another baby.tamarind:

It is better than letting all her kids sleep on the concrete floor.

Maybe that's how God wanted it to be? Sometimes it's really better to \"judge not\".

China did the right thing by enforcing the one child policy. Many kids are spared from a life of poverty and misery.
BTW, I am a Buddhist, so I don’t share your views. -

Well, can also say it's \"heaven's wish\", right? Or \"divine will\". I have friends who have 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 children and have to live frugally. And while I don't share their strong faith in believing in whatever they are \"blessed with\", I don't think it fair to judge their lifestyle.China did the right thing by enforcing the one child policy. That is Taoism, not Buddhism.

Let's not drag religion into this.
I am talking about so poor until there is not enough to eat. It's common sense. -

So I suppose you'd like it like in China in the regime? Only those who have approved certificates can have babies at a certain period in time too (expire got to apply again). If out of the certificate validity then have to abort even if at full term as it's not an authorised baby?

China is still in the communist days. Parents are still not allowed to give birth to more than one child. The only exception now is that if both parents are the only child, then they can give birth to 2, but not more than that. The parents simply lose their jobs when they have a second baby.

BTW, rich people in China can still have babies. They just have to pay huge fines to the government when they give birth to more than one children. I met a man who has 3 daughters and one son, he has his own business, and he can afford to pay.
Anyway, I am not saying that Singapore should have this policy. I just wish that people can have more common sense.
