Guzheng is not for Rae too. If to pick up musical instrument again, then it would be piano once more

hi mummies, would any of you register your child for GuZheng class? what is your thought on it?

I will not register Guzheng for my son because feel that Guzheng is not suitable for boy.. haha... this is only my personal opinion...

I am not too sure what you meant by "far away" but I must admit the school hours are a challenge. Rae’s schoolbus comes at 1120am for school at 1220pm and often times, she doesn’t even have lunch before heading for school, only to have recess at 3pm later. Rae’s pickup point is in Admiralty, not exactly far and also, I believe there are schedulings for the 8 buses as Rae bus is the fist one to reach school at 1145pm whilst the school hours commence at 1220pm. I am not sure what are the am session hours be like in 2013 going forward? I hope it is not 710am like for the CNY eve celebration (too early!)

Thanks Imp. We are currently staying in Pasir Panjang (definitely FAR!) but are considering moving house to somewhere nearer - Sembawang, Yushun, Khatib, or Yio Chu Kang. What u said is helpful cos i have failed to consider my son will be traveling around lunch time to get to school.

no problem but you might want to consider that the school will be going for single session (as soon as second half of 2012) and I am not sure what time the as session starts though. When that happens, we will send Rae to school directly as the school bus pickup time is simply too early (610am)

Also worry she might be hard to cope as she already got Piano and Violin, but the girl insisted she wanted to..so just let her try on first...

for my girl case, it tooks min. 45 minuts from sembawang to school by public Bus, then public Bus again. if rush, taking cab which is about 10 minutes.

I put her in a student care nearby school, she will have lunch there and then the teacher will send all the ChongFu p1/p2 students to school around 12PM.

we send her over in morning and fetch her in evening.

You stay at semb too? Whereabouts in semb?
Is violin more difficult than piano? I read from the tiger mum book that violin is one notch more difficult

Near sembawang God of Futune temple area.
Child can start violin earlier than piano, maybe easier for them as the little fingers are softer. Stella just learned Violin for about a year, so far so good.
