Q: \"Do you speak Japanese?\"the tourist asked me.
A: The tourist asked me if I spoke Japanese.

Is it wrong to answer \"...if I speak Japanese.\"
Using spoke, it seems to indicate the skill is no longer there ?
Because the tourist \"asked\" (past tense), it has to be \"spoke\" (past tense as well).

                1. Jim said that Janet would meet them there the next day.

                2. Class 70.5 plays such good music that no other station does.

                3. Unless you know the answer, you cannot press the bell.

Need a clarification regarding PSLE marking:

For the Editing(spelling and grammar) part of Paper 2, is it acceptable to use the American spelling like analyze, organize instead of the UK spelling as in analyse, organise etc?

For the school worksheet DS's teacher has marked wrong for the usage of american spelling.
