:rotflmao: You need to be pure in heart .. Bro Mark. You see .. your heart is \"tainted\" that why decipher wrongly ...
Oh man, aren't we taking short cuts a bit too much here  .Trapwithin:
Different book then. I like a EPH Maths ass book which has \"4-in-1\" in the title.

If too tough, need to pull back and try again in few months time. It is only Feb. You can also try the Andrew Er book first.
I let ds tried this too. We both tried until we wanted to vomit blood. DS could only do less than half of it, much less than that in fact. Sometimes I feel those qns are difficult just for the sake of being difficult.janet_lee88:
The 4-in-1 you are referring to is Dawn Tai's Challenging 4-in-1 Maths, published by EPH.
We gave up in the end. The frustration and damage to our father-son relationship just ain't worth it.

Think I will vomit more blood. Incidentally, I used to be sb with low blood pressure. Now my blood pressure is normal  [/quote]I got that Dawn Tai's assessment book and son hated it to the core. Hubby told me quietly not to buy it anymore as son is unmotivated as questions are too tough. So, no more Challenging Problems. I get Simon Eio's 'Score in Maths' for SA2 and 'Step by Step' for SA1 as revision. Certain days, he will do Li Fanglan's heuristic & models.

Out of curiosity, I got the P2 one for ds to try. Though ds is prone to his share of carelessness, he is otherwise able to grasp maths concepts quickly so far. That's why I thought why not try something harder to test water, but turned out to be a nightmare ....
Which level did you buy leh?
I gave up buying challenging ones quite a few years ago. Before moving out of my in-laws place, I had all the time to coach my elder boy. Drilled him with Andrew Er's during his lower pri years, also cant guarantee full marks in his MA papers. Decided in the end, not worth the sweat. -

Brother Mark here is able to read every word because his son is in P1. When his son moves upwards, I doubt he will take note of any shortcuts or mistakes in our posts

No wonder .. do the P1 first lah ...
Remember after teaching concepts .. need to test them to ensure they know how to apply. -

Our Sundays used to be Yoshinoya at Takashimaya...not anymore since P4 bcos of Jan & Elly classes. Switched son to Saturday class hoping to give him Sunday no classes but he preferred teacher on Sunday.janet_lee88:
When time permits on weekdays, I tell hubby we go out for dinner to relax also rather than being stuck at home doing same old thing.
Last year I was stuck at home most of the time becos of my younger boy. I think I almost went bonkers as I was easily upset at the slightest issue. It was not a very pleasant year.
I went bonkers last year too...daughter in K2 was also very upset being stuck at home...can really go nuts. -

Teacher-student chemistry is important. They will learn faster if they can work with their prefered teachers.Switched son to Saturday class hoping to give him Sunday no classes but he preferred teacher on Sunday.
