one trick on the ironing chore is to do it while the clothes is still damp (esp after spin dry), iron it, and then put it on the hanger to dry

But won't that give the clothes a 'damp' smell?

still air dry it - but on hanger

If you want it to force dry it , it will take a long time to iron right? and not sure if that will consume more electricity. From what I know iron consume a lot of electricity just like kattle.

I used to do that too and my parttime maid does that now. It's easier to iron when the clothes are damp, as it has the same effect as steaming the clothes. After ironing, hang the clothes in an airy place to dry. Not in the cupboard. There will not be a damp smell.

No difference from drying the clothes then got to wet/steam it to iron it ..... waste of time....in fact this way of ironing produces much better result than dry-ironing it

no smell if you hang it out to air dry it before storing it in cup board

i don’t cook, don’t iron clothes, get husband those wrinkle-free shirt (more costly but also more hassle-free), both of us are holding management-level position so can imagine how busy we are, but I still can set aside 1-2 hours per night to teach my child. and myself do not bring any work home so i spend weekends with my child, while husband has to work even during weekends.

we don’t have parents neither maids to help since the first day we had baby,

it is possible without maid, but i shall admit it is painful coz i do not any free time at all. I do not watch any movie for consecutively 5 years and I do not go to any spa or facial treatment. i seldom watch TV or DVD either. Everyday was the same, rushing for work, rushing back home, doing house cores during weekends. More or less like a robot …

oh well even with a maid and working FT, i didnt watch a movie till my kids were like 10 😄 ! I stil remembr the experience as I was clueless how to get tix and where to go in the cineplex hall after buying tixs etc.....

anyway guess one suggestion wd be get a parttime helper in the weekends, so at least u can rest properly and not burn out!
