Not quite sure, my friend was saying they are all near the funeral parlours or something like that... :? -
no lah…certain flats only…44x series are quite good…those 40x series are near parlour. sin ming flats are not cheap, and there is an upcoming mrt station, so quite exp there.
the environment there is very good, but can be inconvenience cos no market. however, it also means thatplc is quiet. with condos beside flat, it really is a good place for studying.
anyway, tot govt said the plan for making sin ming a parlour hub is stalled?? -
Ya I do agree that those schools near funeral parlour, temple or cremataroum may not be so good. Heard every day have 3 burning session so bound to meet 1 of them

-
I think some HDB and condos there are still quite ok. But must find those better facing units…
-
hmm...Maris Stella very near to crematorium leh,and we are considering that sch, cos catholic high is way too hard to get in...i heard that boys who study in Maris Stella have to walk across the crematorium in order to get to the sch??? :?

We have went to view flats for 44+ series in Sin Ming. The corridoors/lift landings are very dark even in the day time. The feeling is not good. As for the condos, if it’s not too near to HDB (HDB units overlooking the pool) then it’s too many units (756units). So we are looking at Bishan instead now.

Heard that ECA in P1 & P2 have to pay extra $$? May I know is it all schools have what sort of modular ECA?
-
Think it’s rather common in most schools I heard of. In my son’s school, they extended an hour on a Monday. Different types of activities, ranging from art and music, leadership and lifeskills, to sports, are planned for the pupils from varying levels. The range of activities would be rotated by term. And yes, we have to pay $30 for the programmes, to be deducted from the edusave account.

Hi QMS!
Sorry for late reply, been busy with work.
I really don't have much choice at the moment as all schools are closed for the school holidays. I suppose I will go around to different schools to survey the environment when schools reopen.
Does anyone know how long (time frame) I should be living within 1km range before I enrol my child to the Primary School of my choice? :? Of course, that does not guarantee that my child will get a place in that school.
Too many confusing rules for this newbie to the education system. :? :? :?
hi
you may want to refer to this thread for your answer

fundamentally, it should be the address that you are or will be staying when your child is in primary school.
there is no requirement of min stay period prior to registration.
