\"Science is never easy and must read a lot!\" ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Hi Champion,
Yes I agree to that point. Must read alot.. if you take maths, maths is also having the same problem. I mean the problem sums. You must read word by word and understand. then only the problem sum won't give problems..

As for Science, some authors like Mabel Cheong, Renee Chong and Helen Lee are not bad but questions do not really follow latest syllabus requirements...worse still, some answers given can be wrong.

        Hi Janet,
I was doing the CA1 reivsion with my gal and realised, \"WOW! Science is not always so \"straightforward\"! Some questions are boiled down to the understanding of the bais concept. I am currently using the above 4 books to supplement DD1 My Pals Are Here! Textbook. Getting her to write her own notes so she can remember the facts  ...

Any other recommended Assessment Books? Need those who are detailed in their explanation and notes.

        Thank you.

        Hi Champion,
Thanks for sharing with the pictures ๐Ÿ˜‰

          Hi plum-cake,
No mention. I am just worry that I am posting on the wrong thread because this is meant for P1/P2 English - but as I mentioned before - sincerely appreciated those postings by you all and I am also learning to comb thru assessment books before buying...... :celebrate:

Not to worry. since there is no p1/p2 science, I think Its okay to tap here and there to clear our doubts. we have to prepare our little ones next year for science subject. I feel sharing is good cos. you'll get to know what others feel about the same book. That's why I really like Janet's comments. so we can decide whats good for our children and what we really need. rather than spending on unwanted stuff.

            Thanks Keep sharing

I'm looking for assessment books which give detailed answers but yet to find them ๐Ÿ˜ข it sure beats having to crack my brain to explain why option this and not that.

\"Thematic Science Process Skills Worksheets (Diversity) by Janet Sim\" - has detailed explanation on why the answer is such and such...Quite Good but I have to re-phrase it into simpler English for my DD1 to understand.

Thematic Science has detailed answers ? Maybe I will check it out when I visit Popular. This title had a discount when it was first introduced...I think it was 3 for $5. But I have Science Companion by Renee Chong and Everything you need to know about Science by Patricia Dandroff (a bit tough to understand).

I saw Master Cloze at Popularโ€ฆitโ€™s not bad โ€˜attackingโ€™ Comprehension, Grammar and Vocab from P3. There are sample answers in front explaining why that option should be selected. Wonder if it will be avail for P2 later.

                    Hi Champion,
It's by EPH...written by 2 authors one of whom is Geetha Menon (I like her books, very helpful and relevant)

I'm also keen to get the P6 copy since we are purely relying on past year paper for practice. The price is $4.90 before the 20% discount.

I don't remember getting 20% discount for it, just the normal 10% with Popular card. Another new book to target and bookmark to get for my daughter.
