      Bishan_Mom:
Many thanks to \"niceguy\" for the link.

When doing a search, do check against the school address again. The map does not seem to be up-to-date. E.g. Whitley Secondary moved to Bishan a couple of years ago, the website still show its location in Toa Payoh, and Catholic did not show up under \"Primary School\" search, possibly the map was done up before the primary school section moved in to Bishan.
That is an experimental site set up by the Microsoft Innovation Centre in Singapore. The more up to date sites are still: http://www.can.com.sg and http://www.streetdb.com

          Hello;

          You can try http://www.elite.com.sg

This is a very good site to check if your house is within 1 or 2 kilometers of primary school

            Dear Parents,

I would like to share this convenient way of checking whether your address falls within the 1KM radius from a particular school:

            http://www.elite.com.sg/primary-schools.page

BTW, can ChiefKiasu advise me on my son's chance of getting into SJI Junior during phase 2C this year, we stay within 1KM from the school.

It is useful, but not really accurate....

I entered my address Blk 531 Jelapang Road, and CHIJ OLQP was within 2km. But when I checked with the school, they say my house is more than 2km. And they asked me to use SLA's map to be more accurate: http://www.inlis.gov.sg/Layout/HomePage.aspx. I paid $2.10 to check, and indeed, my house is more than 2km.... šŸ˜ž

Absolutely agree... that site uses Google maps mashup, just like we do in KSP.com. The problem with Google maps is that it is still not very accurate for Singapore.

It is better to use CAN.COM.SG if you want accuracy. See http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/measuring-home-school-distance.

                    hi mommies,

Any of you know the postal codes/addresses of those HDB blocks around Farrer Road ?

Want to find out if RGPS is within 1km of those HDB blocks along Farrer Road but do not know the exact address/postal codes of these HDB blocks. Tried using http://www.can.com.sg to find out distance but without exact address/postal codes it is impossible to do so.

Thanks in advance for your help.

                    Rgds,
                    Ming

You should at least state the road name and block number of the flats. Can you find them by panning the map?

I managed to find the road name & blk numbers.

                        Blk 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8 at Queen's Road.

I tried using http://www.can.com.sg but could not find schools nearby. There seems to be an error at the site.

                        Anyone can help ?

                        Thx.

                        Rgds,
