Oh, my DH's favourite too! Where to buy the stomach? Market also?Augmum:
today, i boiled 猪 肚 汤 with 白果 and pepper.
my family, esp hub, loves this soup very much.
bot it from sheng siong, giant and ntuc supermarket.
it's better to get from sheng siong becos the pig stomach is \"thicker\", 口感 is better. -

i usually boil black chicken soup with chinese herbs (not pre-packed type, own combi).
my gal luv it with ginseng, be it \"black\" or \"white\" chicken
Black chicken with just ginseng will do?
I just came back from Hock Hwa and bought some herbs for soup. Also bought ginseng to boil soup. My DH and DD are going to be so happy with all the soup they are going to be drinking soon.
i will put in 淮山 (Huai Shan) dried one, and some wolfberries,
can also add some red dates, if u're not afraid of \"heaty\", taste is better.
i also get all my chinese herbs from hock hua too. :hi5:

Have never seen before leh.. but is it difficult to wash and cut the stomach? I remember my mum said you have to wash the stomach properly and I recall my neighbour washing it with newspaper (when i was a kid)... Strange to use newspaper, but they say it cleans the stomach very thoroughly.
