Very interesting.....
Bukit Panjang, Hong Kah North, Hougang, Joo Chiat, Mountbatten, Pioneer, Potong Pasir, Punggol East, Radin Mas, Sengkang West, Whampoa and Yuhua will make up the 12 single member constituencies.
The two four-member GRCs are Holland-Bukit Timah and Moulmein-Kallang.
The 11 five-member GRCs are Aljunied, Bishan-Toa Payoh, Chua Chu Kang, East Coast, Jurong, Marine Parade, Nee Soon, Sembawang, Tampines, Tanjong Pagar and West Coast.
Moulmein is now part of Moulmein-Kallang GRC instead of Tanjong Pagar GRC. Radin Mas now become a SMC
Alot of good schools in Moulmein & Radin Mas
Definitely will affect parents here... Good news for those stay in Kallang/Jalan Basar and bad news for those stay in Tanjong Pagar GRC
Lucky for those staying at Holland-Bukit Timah GRC. No changes -
Now Nan Chiau under Sengkang West SMC instead of AMK GRC. Think shouldn’t affect most parents since one usually need to be within 1km to enter NCPS under phase 2b.

Agree. But with only SMC, there are so few schools now to choose from. For GRL, we can park our cars for free (7am-11pm daily) within the whole AMK GRC now, with Sengkang West SMC, it's so much less privilege. Same applies to priority flat selection etc. -
The boundary for Holland - Bukit Timah GRC is also redrawn. Potentially Nan Hua Primary School & Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School will now falls under Jurong GRC
Looks like the parents here will have to eagerly wait for the details of where the lines are drawn to be out before they will know their fate -

Good luck to all going on this GRL path

In that case next time should join what group so that the letter can use in any schools? In the case for those join in a GRC but after that it become a SMC which restrict their chances of the schools?

Currently or in the previous GE, Yio Chu Kang was taken out as a SMC from Ang Mo Kio GRC, now it rejoins but Sengkang West got kick out. In any case, I still can’t comprehend why Sengkang is still being divided into half (Sengkang West & Sengkang East) and can’t be a SMC by itself which will make it complete as a town. Sengkang East is under PasirRis-Punggol GRC. Imagine just across a road and we’re in different GRC. Weird.

I think the redrawing of boundaries will affect a number of parents who had chosen to take the grassroots road to phase 2b. I’m curious to know if MOE/PA/MP will allow any appeals to go through for parents who are affected and will be registering their kids this July.
I’m guessing they will not, as they would not want to open the floodgates. And I suppose in their opinion, parents still have the chance to register their kids in phase 2b - that privilege has not been taken away - though the schools available may have changed.
My sympathies to parents whose plans have been thwarted by this! -

That was on my mind all the time. The same for Punggol, now they split Punggol into Pasir Ris- Punggol and Punggol East. I wonder which zone does Mee Toh falls under.
