There IS a difference. Within 2B, if demand exceeds supply, the distance comes into play again. Within 1km is most safe (die die guaranteed balloting or entry). 1-2KM, you MAY get a chance to ballot.

Eg, 20 spaces, 15 within 1km; 15 within 1-2km. Those 15 within 1km will confirm entry. The remaining 5 spaces will be contested by the 15 living in 1-2km.
so this is the difference, it will be much safer if staying within 1km range. too bad im out of this range.

        at their mercy really !

No choice right. We need their favour

Parents who are lucky to be selected to be PV, successfully chalk up 40 hours only have one HOPE - ie to get into school under 2B. Who wouldn't have that expectation...it's only natural right ?
The stress which parents have to face for their kids' education now. Thank goodness I have just 2...my hubby and I will coach one kid every night.

            the stress is once only

to make it more worth it, have more children, all subsequent siblings will be under phase 1

Hehehe, then it is even safer to place the 1st kid in a co-ed school or your headache may start all over again............ 😎

There are typically 2 paths for P2B registration. Either joining as PV or as GRL. With the new election boundaries being drawn, alot of GRLs will be affected and now they will go via the PV route.

The competition for PV will be increased in the next few years

And there are some schools that have clan/religious associations attached - so PVs should always factor that in if they are considering such schools.

But once the new GRCs are settled (probably in 1 to 2 yrs time), I suppose this route will be \"re-opened\" to the \"public\" and situation will be back to normal...........

For me, 2 is ENOUGH. Every night, hubby & I each take one kid. I don't even dare to think of having another kid :dowan:
With school work so stressful now, who would dare to have 3 or more ?
