This Math Puzzles helped me to reinforce simple number sentences
(addition) after teaching my girls how to work with additions concretely.
We use pebbles and wooden beads to add and i'm also reinforcing the
finger counting with my next year P1 younger girl. She can now count
5+4 as like this...
\"5 in the heart and 4 in my hand.\" (show up 4 fingers).
\"After 5.... is...> 6... 7... 8... 9.\"(The 4 fingers will close into palm, one
finger at a time when she adds).
The number puzzles help with the finger counting and also encourage
mental counting when the activity is done in repetitions. The box includes
3 sets of 25-piece puzzles for the children to work with.

As they don't carry any materials for subtraction, multiplication or number
bonds reinforcement purposes, i will likely do up my own with the PC
using her favourite pictures of cartoon characters or even her
photograph.. The number base with boxes of number sentences printed
for number bonds can be colour-coded with the corresponding answers at
the back of each jigsaw piece. Laminate for longer lasting self-made
puzzles.

Heyya joconde, it is good... and easily available at Kiddy Palace.
Not expensive also. Cannot remember exact price, but definitely
below SGD $10.00. I think it's around $8.90.
Teaching Maths can be monotonous if we can't find fun ways to
reinforce the mathematical concepts. So, i'm always on the lookout
for teaching / learning materials for my kiddies. I share it here so
other parents can find time to play and learn with their children too!
Learning should start fun, to cultivate interest in learning... anything. -

Hi All,
My son is K1 now, but his teacher commented that during lesson time his mind keep wanding away & she need to constantly remind him to get back to task. Would like to know is there any methods that can help him on this.
Lastly, he is no good at number concept & sequening. Any suggestion, pleaes.
