All About Full-Time Maids
-
This maid is seriously inhuman and should enjoy twice the punishment on how she treat the kids.
-
I only saw the thumbnails, no guts to see the video (tolerance for such gone down since I became a mum). But there were comments from those who watched saying that it may not be maid and may not even be in SG.
All the same, it's very heart rending - there are those who want to love kids but can't have; and others who bully the kids they care for.
I really hope things will turn out better for the child.

I don’t dare to watch the video. Sounds scary and I worry it will affect me.
I hope it’s not Singapore!!
It seems like alot of employers now are turning to Myanmar maids because no salary hike yet. -
Shocking! I hope the maid’s been brought to justice. Can you imagine the long term damage this has on the kid. to be subjected to torture like this on a DAILY basis with no recourse?
-
Really shocking! Regretted watching the video… Feel so enraged at the maid and sad for the child. Worse, the child seems used to it. So sad.
Heard enough stories - that’s why I will never leave a baby or toddler in the care of a maid without anyone else at home. Even now, even though my younger child is older, I still make sure that I am around to keep an eye. I’d rather be safe than sorry. -
So do ppl in Taiwan and HK pay levy to their goverment for employing maids?

Pay? I was looking through the contract when my helper indicated that she want to terminate. All i see was give \"reasonable notice\". So she need not pay anything to me. In addition, MOM require us to pay for air-ticket, etc for her repatriation. They are so well protected by our authorities.peapot:
raynreg, that's terrible to hear. The Indonesian side really cause so much problem for us. It reminds me of the sand ban again. It goes to show how a little change in plan from neighbour country can cause ripples in our country.
Don't these maids know that they break the contract they must pay??Or don't they need to pay??
In fact, my colleagues are all after me for spreading the \"virus\" cos I was asking if any of their helper would like to work for me. Didn't expect that they are getting the same from their helpers
My Indo helper of 1yr just told me this morning she wants to leave.
Told her she will pay for her own airfare, she says ok.
Didn't know it's our responsibility to pay for her airfare though she didnt complete her contract? -
To think of it, they have nothing to lose if they terminate their contract or cherry pick their employer. Agency charged a month of salary for any transfer. And if the "loan period" is not over, most employers would be reluctant to send the helper home. So where is the lost? The result of this is the prolonged delay is getting their salaries. But hack, they have all the time here to choose and decide for themselves who is the "ideal" employer they want to work for.
