不堪女佣出走，找上中介所闹自杀的女雇主，事后被警方押走。


女佣一声不响走掉不干，女雇主担心两孩子没人照顾，竟在中介所门前闹自杀，惊动警员到场，并将她逮捕！

这起闹自杀的事件，昨天下午4时许发生在后港豪格林购物廊2楼的一家女佣中介所。据了解，想要寻短的女雇主34岁，住在盛港一带，家中有一个11岁的儿子和一个4岁的女儿，还有一个71岁的老母亲，而跟她工作的女佣来自印度尼西亚，现年29岁。

女佣中介所的一位女负责人告诉记者，该女佣今早回到中介所，表示不想再为这名女雇主工作。女雇主接到女佣中介所的电话后，在昨午3时许敢到中介所了解情况。

介绍所女负责人说，因为“雇主和女佣之间有误会”，所以3方在商谈时没有谈拢。由于中介所一时之间无法安排另一个女佣取代走掉的女佣，女雇主也许感到压力倍增，一时想不开，才会在介绍所门前闹跳楼。

记者抵达现场后，发现印尼籍女佣在中介所的一个小房间内，呆呆的依靠在墙边的椅子上，一动也不动。完整报道，请翻阅24.02.2011《联合晚报》。

I think the situation will be getting worst as maids may getting this opportunity to demand for pay rises or which ever as 机不可失，时不再来. The employer is better to have some backup plan.

Goodness! I think that this is ridiculous! Did I interpret it wrongly? Employer threatens to jump due to stress of looking after her own kids and elderly mother! I think that the employer must be under a lot of stress!!!


This might not be related to this news article … but I think that some of us are just too reliant on maids. Sometimes, the maid becomes the "mommy". I know of some employers that treat their maids like VIPs, because they rely on the maids to look after the kid 24/7. Even food for the kid and maid is delivered to them! When the maid returns for home leave, the kid won’t eat / sleep / etc, and then the employer begs the maid to come back. Oh my gosh, why have kids in the first place if they won’t look after their own kids?
