With regard to this online exercise, I think it's better if teacher can give written instructions to parents. It's so confusing and so many versions of info flowing around and I also not sure if my son did the right ones. Then my son comes back with new eZhishi online homework and I also can't be sure if what he said is really correct. Sigh.

Didn't u receive the user guide in powerpoint handout early this week?

Yes I did. I am referring to the exercises assigned subsequently that were solely based on the students' word of mouth. It was also not in the comm book. Parents have to hope that their kids know where to find it and know what to do.
DS supposed to do every week but right now he is still trying to catch up. There r already 8 issues for P2 & he just managed to complete 3 during the past 2 days, as there r other homework as well.
I told him to do the most recent 1 1st. 😉

The issues r all on the content page but DS faced some technical issues & even submited 1 whole blank section.
I think it's a waste of time & an eye-strain staring at the screen. He could hv done it faster on paper & get to practise his writing as well.

        Hi,

Is there anybody who have news on the coming P6 camp in march 2011? I didn’t receive any letter on it. Why go Malaysia for camp? No place in Singapore worth camping? If it is in singapore, parents can even drop by to see or join in. Why are the P6 going when the school should spend time helping the pupils to do better for the coming PSLE? Why spend money for overseas camp? I heard the pupils will be CAMPING IN HOTEL. Any updates? Thanks.

I think it would be better for you to raise your queries to the school / teacher after you have received the communication from the school. The communication from the school will usually state the objectives of the event. Hearsay may not always be accurate.

I also don't think the school will arrange for all P6s (10 classes) for an oversea camp at the same time. The logistics will be too overwhelming.

Thanks, veyvey n blue bells. I tried calling, but the principal is always busy, clerks not sure. Asked one teacher n she dare not answer when I asked what will the kids be doing in hotel, have camp fire? Activities? All I was told was to wait for the letter this week. She hinted that parents agreeded to this trip. Since when?

Well, wait for the communication. If you really do not want your child attend the camp, you have every right to say "no".

On the other hand, make sure you have the form teacher’s email address so you can communicate with her. The first point of contact should alwasys be the form teacher, before any escalation.

Can I check is there any Nan CHiau alumni activities this Coming SUNDAY?

SAt is the alumni anniversary, so there won’t be any activities. What about Sunday?

                      TIA.
