            Hi,

I’m new to this forum (and kiasuparents.com). I would like to send my son for wei qi lessons, any good recommendations? I’m staying in the east side of S’pore. Thanks.

You can try Singapore weiqi association. DS attended their hol prog last dec and likes it very much. There are a few locations. I went to the one near bugis.

I’m not sure if it is easy to get kids to be interested in the game…

It requires very intense concentration and focus…

may not be suitable for all kids…

Guess it is a matter of "fate"…

I played before, but didn’t get much opportunity to play it as few pple around me know the game.

Agree that not all will take to weiqi. But if don’t try, will never know. I think it is a very good game for training kids to see the big picture and plan ahead, not just based on what is happening right now. True that not many people know how to play cos I tried so hard to find people to play with DS.

Thanks for replying. I agree, I won't know if he likes it until I let him try. 😄

If your son likes it, maybe can play together with my son 😉
