      Hi Jen, QSM,

How do you usually revise with your kids? Apart from doing assessment books, what else can we do to help them?
      Hi Preggie,

My son is weak in English therefore we read books as part of our daily activities, then with it, we also practice vocabulary and test his understanding of the language.

As for chinese, I revised mainly with the cards (the one that comes as part of the book list). Reinforcing the recognising of the words and also ask him to write down the hanyu pinyin at the back of the cards. When he remembers all, I will follow up with the assessment book for that chapter, just to wrap up the whole chapter.

As for maths, if he has understand the concept taught, then I just revise with assessment books.

What about yourself? Do you revise all the subjects with assessment books? Any tips on helping children who are weak in English?

        Hi Jen,

For Maths and Chinese, i'm very dependent on tuition, so i don't do any revision with her (except for ting xie)

As for english, my daughter enjoys reading and i'll make her do english assessment whenever i feel that she has too much time.

I also download some english grammar apps for her to play on the iphone.

My son is weak in English, too. Hence, our methods are more or less similar to Jen's. We also go through the worksheets given by his English teacher just to make sure he still remembers the things that he was taught.

I can't help you... My daughter is rather week in chinese and there are many words she cannot read. She uses a dictionary to look up those unfamiliar words. Problem is, during exams, she will feel handicapped coz dictionaries are not allowed.

I think it's the same for all P2s. My son said he saw 2A and 2C having their orals.

Yes, it will be counted as part of their assessment.
