        hi tina2001

once you have shortlisted the schools (reputable or neighbourhood schools), maybe you could give them a call and talk to the vice principal or principal to check on the procedures.

i am sure the schools would need your child to sit for some entrance exams.

we did likewise before we moved back to singapore.

        cheers

p.s. do you mind sharing which school in shanghai your child is attending because i am thinking of sending mine over.

Got it! I do appreciate all your help although I didn't get in the proper forum. It's so kind of you.

My daughter is currently studying at Shanghai Jian Xiang primary school, I definitely know all the schools in SH if you're interested to know more details. Please feel free to contact me at email: [email protected] if you have any questions about \"Living in SH\".
          Cheers!

            Try this,

            1. http://app.sis.moe.gov.sg/schinfo/SIS_AdvSearch.asp
            2. Click only the SQUARE BOX of \"Level of Education
            3. Click \"Submit\"

You will see all the schools in Singapore and their respective websites from,
            1. Primary School (Primary 1 to 6)
            2. Secondary Schools
            3. Mixed Level School (Primary 1 to Secondary 4, usually the reputable schools)
            4. IP / IB School (Secondary 1 to JC2)
            5. Junior Colleges

                  tina2001,

                  thanks for your information.

                  xyz1,

hi, i want to send kids there during the june holidays for just a few weeks. my good friend over there did checked out a few schools but they suggested that we do the summer holiday programmes. but we are unable to because spore schools starts in july. so now looking for moer schools to see if can be done as i prefer my kids to do the china regular school programmes and not those holiday planned programmes.

but i think june holidays might be too short a stay so might look at nov/dec holidays as well.

                  cheers

                    Hi, LOL Mom:

You’d better find the proper local Chinese schools, no need private schools.
By the way, can you recommend some qualified Singapre commercial schools for preparing AEIS tests , I would send my daughter to at the end of June after she finishes her own school in SH.
                    Thx!

                      hi tina2001,

yes i intend to send her to proper schools there.

oh dear, am afraid i dont know anything about any commercial schools as we have never had any need for them.

hope someone reading this topic is able to help you. 🙏

                        tina2001,

my kids are at learning lab which is an enrichment/tuition centre. you may wish to read the various threads on this forum on this centre.

email and call them to see if they are able to work out something to help your child. ask to speak to the senior manager if the receptionist is unable to help.

                        cheers
