That's why the top PSLE students are hardly ever local Chinese. The top student's mother tongue is either Malay, Indian or if Chinese, the student is PRC.
LOL - yesterday, ds' school principal gave a talk and during that, he also explained \"why\" it is quite difficult to produce a top student(in whole singapore). haha! Says it's bc the T-score for CL is skewed now with the extremely high standard of the PRC students' CL!Funx3:
Wah Like That Your Kid's Sch Aiming to Be TOP 10 in PSLE this Year? -

I thought the influx of foreigners had an impact on the work force only. Now sad to say that it has an impact on our school going children as well.
In my sonβs school the TOP PSLE kid for last year was from India. -

And the principal wasn't talking about top in school. Surely every school will have top student regardless of what country they are from. Just that he says it's rather difficult for a local Chinese to be top (very rare). And ours is a SAP school, so generally most students are Chinese, majority local lah.I thought the influx of foreigners had an impact on the work force only. Now sad to say that it has an impact on our school going children as well.

Ha Ha. All children are the same. Therefore the cinema, Time Zone or fast food outlet can expect more crowds after Thursday. Then Popular is hoping to have more business another week after CA1.
Until the Popular Sale at Expo Hall 5A on 18 to 20 Mar ....
