Wah... such accolades make me shy leh . We Singaporeans very little faith in ourselves and we tend to put our faith in imported \"things\" ranging from products to talents. We even call ourselves and others kiasu when it comes to preparing our young ones for the tough formal education they will have to go through. Hopefully, through our sharing and by exploring both extremes of being too \"kiasu\" or \"bochap\", we can calibrate our own perception of what we should be doing for our children, while making lots of friends along the way.

Hi Audreyzen, OIC. How is he coping in P1? Just curious, if you don't mind me asking, any significant difference with between him and his peers I mean since he is a year-end child?

Hi Audreyzen, OIC. How is he coping in P1? Just curious, if you don't mind me asking, any significant difference with between him and his peers I mean since he is a year-end child?

I would say that there isn't much difference now that he is in P1. However, he had some difficulty catching up particularly in Chinese cos we were away and only returned to SG in April for him to start P1.

But when he was younger like in nursery, K1, there was some difference between him and the children born earlier in the year.. but after that think it slowly tapered off.
