LOL. Didn't expect the pic to turn out that big either. Hahah.

It's indian style flower crab. May not be everyone's cup of tea. Had it at my Indian colleague's place during Deepavali and couldn't get enuf of it. So asked her for the recipe. That was the 1st time I tried cooking crabs, always find the cleaning daunting. But with flower crabs quite easy leh. Since getting the recipe, I've been cooking it almost mthly. Next I will try to get from her, her recipe for masala chicken and bryani. šŸ˜‰

Try only if you like heavily spiced stuff or Indian food. Anyways, here goes,

2 parts chilli powder to 1 part coriander seed powder
              Red onions
              Tomatoes
              Curry leaves
              Coriander
              Salt & black pepper

Mix the chilli and coriander powder together with some water to form a paste
Fry the onions till fragrant then add in the paste and curry leaves and fry till fragrant
Add in the crabs and tomatoes
Add salt and pepper to taste (can add a bit of sugar to take the edge off the spiciness if you want or if you want more kick, throw in a few chilli padis) and garnish with coriander

              That's it. Easy.

For about 8 crabs, I used
2 heaping tbsp of chilli to 1 heaping tbsp of Coriander powder.
3-4 large onions and 5-6 ripe tomatoes
1 large handful of curry leaves

May I ask, what other soups can one boil with black chicken (other than those pre-packed herbs)? Thanks.
