2011 P1 Registration Exercise for 2012 In-Take
-
drwho:
when is the P1 reg start this year for the 2012 intake?
the actual dates are not announced yet.
it should be from July through to Aug as per other years, during term 3 of school term. -
I am also very ‘gan jiong’ about this registration.
Need to register for my eldest kid this year and being 1st time makes it more nervous and excited.
Hope we can get into the school that we prefer. -
Castle House:

hi everyone,
I’m also registering my eldest this year…
so excited but confused at the same time…
anyone can share if ij toa payoh better or marymount? -
gksmummy:
It depends if you believe in affiliation or not. I am a strong believer in having affiliated sec, which is why I registered my gal in IJ TP instead of son's school which has no affiliation.hi everyone,

I'm an old gal of IJ TP...so naturally I would want her there. Principal is warm, caring and motherly. However, the teachers are rather ON. -
janet_lee88:
Agree with janet_lee88. Better to go for those with affiliation. I'm also old gal of IJ TP and have nieces currently studying in Marymount. Both schools are okay. For IJ TP, there's affiliation to sec school and teachers there don't only focus on the top class so you can be sure your gal should be taken care of.

My son is sitting for his PSLE next year (Dragon year)...told him to buck up.
I love the atmosphere in IJ TP...the principal and teachers are warm, HODs reply promptly and I guess the feeling is just great...very different from son's school and I am convinced we registered her in the right school (although son's school is co-ed and nearby). -
calebmum:
Hi, I am new here. Started reading this cos I thought I should get some ideas first though my son is not due for registration until 2012 (2013 intake).
I am Christian so I want my son to be in a Christian school. I have 2 school of choice & unfortunately, both I have no affliation with cos I was from RGPS and I cant register my son there. DH school in the East & no longer around.
Choice of school:
1. ACS (Primary)
2. Fairfield Methodist (submitted PV & awaiting for school to call in June)
3. ACS (Junior)
Any other Christian schools around? Not keen on Catholic schools if given a choice. Residence wise, I am flexible as I am currently staying with my parents & depending on where we want to register my son, we will move near there. I understand the min. validity of address is 6 mths prior to registration but heard of cases where they got the address 2 weeks prior.
Good to hear any recommendations.
St Andrews and St Hilda's are Christian (Anglican) schools
