      Hi,

Just came to know something but want to confirm if its true…
If a student is Tamil or Malay, he/she is not allowed to take Chinese as Mother Tongue language…is it true?

Yes, but Indians can be Tamilians/non-Tamilians…I guess Tamilians have to still take Tamil as Mother Tongue Language because Tamil IS their mother tongue…Non-Tamilians,I guess, can opt for any language.

Please correct me if I am wrong…can somebody please throw some light on this?

I'm due to register my son for his primary education this July. I'm thinking of registering him to Meridian Pri but seems not a good school as compare to Park View :? . Is that true? Can someone give me their opinions? What about Elias Pri? Out of these 3 schools, which one is better? Thanks

Not sure what you deem as 'good'? Academically or ? I know Meridian has a new principal this year, so there might be good changes which we were not aware of. I was surprised to note that they've changed to single session this year and school starts at 8am, I believe this will be a plus point for parents looking for single session school around that part of Pasir Ris.

When I was sourcing for schools last year, these 3 were also among my choices and in the end I enrolled my gal at Elias Park. Not bad so far, was quite happy with the school and her progress but I must warn you that EPPS does not conduct exams for P1 and P2 only need to take SA2, so if you are looking for exams to help gage your child's standard, then their system may not suit you. JMO.

My nephew is in Elias Park and I would say that his teacher is very committed...probably because he's in the top class perhaps...Their top student scored good marks for PSLE last year, hence it's not that bad after all...Pasir Ris Primary is the good one here as they produced consistent good PSLE result every year...too bad it's quite a distance from my block or i will also enrol my boy for his P1 next year...

Am looking somewhere nearby so that he get enough sleep and less travelling time to school everyday...good for CCA next time too...am hesistating if i should put him in Loyang which is next to my block and sheltered all the way from my block to the school or Casuarina which is across the road...

Many advise me to CAsuarina...Is Loyang Primary really that bad?

Anyone knw these school? Thanks to advise
                  :?
