Lizhi, many thanks for the light hearted article. No wonder hubby always says I am cleverer than him. By chance, does the mother become dumber after giving birth to \"smart\" boys??? I think so leh, getting dumber each day. 😢 My boys are trying to test me everyday with tactics to snake their way out :stupid:
Disappointed? Hope the teachers are disappointed with themselves, not the kids. if many dun do well, it reflects on the teaching skill. if only a few dun do well, then you can say maybe the kids did not study well.

My gal told me, her EL tr walked into the class, pointing her own face and told the class, \"I have 'NOT HAPPY\" written on my face.\" A few in the class joked that they did not see the words. She told the class, whoever scored below 65 is considered 'Failed'.

i think not only kids and parents stress.... teachers stress too....hahaha....
Teachers will definitely be stressed, that's their KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
A lot of them are very dedicated and find job satisfaction through the kids result. It is a great sense of achievement if their kids do well.

I am very stressed reading all the results posted…omg, it is just CA1 leh…if this goes on, CA1 itself can hit 10-15 pages when all the results are out. Then SA1 ?

Teachers under stress to mark the papers asap.

I can understand the stress teachers are facing, and I advocate giving reasonable amount of pressure to push the children. But passing excessive stress may produce adverse effects. Dedication is good, but dedication includes patience with a compassionate heart. Not just pushing and reprimanding and worse, some extent of shaming. I am guessing alot of my gal's classmates will gear up with external assistance(tuitions/parental coaching) to make up for the 'lost' marks during SAs

Don't you feel sorry for the children?

whahahah.. took me a while to read thru the article.. but this part is hilarious.. 😉 thanks Lizhi, for such a 'straight-talking' and interesting article..

I will need my future daughter-in-laws to submit their results for screening in future!!

                    Errrrrr .... U Mean \"Resume of Son-in-law's Mother\", Right?

Serious!! I am not very optimistic for her CL lah...I am prepared for this subject to go downhill as she progresses to upper primary...

Like giving 'discounts' as each year progress..
                      P1 -10%..P2 - 20%..P3 - 30%..etc.... 😢 cannot any more discounts come PSLE ... 🙏 😢 😉

                      Yup. Something like that. 😄
But EL is quite shocking. Only 6 in band 1 and there are 9 in band 3 for her class. I suppose her EL is quite disappointed with their performance.

My boy told me his class has no Band 1 for EL, highest is 84.5

                        Compreh again :stupid:

That makes us in the same class.... 😉 ....highest EL is a boy...
Going By Lizhi's Theory ....
