Any comments on your child's class teachers and the school administration?

My kid says the teachers are all very strict. Kids are punished by being asked to stand in front of the class, outside the class, face the wall and \"think about what (he) should have done instead\" haha!! Stomach cannot touch the desk when standing up to greet teacher. Teachers' response is fine for me. My kid's FT does not reply to email (quite elderly). But will call. Chief means of communication is via Pupil's Diary.

Wow, I didn't know about such punishments at all!! Well, I am cool with such stuffs as long as it is nothing physical... hehe...

Received the handout from my child y'day after school. Its indeed 12th March and its for P1 & P2 parents. Guess its gonna be a full house event at the school hall again.

Why are the P2 parents attending the workshop too? Actually when is the model drawing going to be introduced in Pei Chun? P1 or P2?

I can accept the punishment stated above as long as its not physical or verbal humiliation. At least your teacher bothers to call you even thou she is quite elderly, mine needs to ask 2nd time then response. Spoke to her once and find that she is rather unhelpful and unfriendly. I understand that teachers are real busy but when I address the problem or issue that I really need her assistance as the child who is only 7 years old can't solve it, we need adults to lend a helping hand, she juz brush the matter and only response when asked her help for a second time.

Well I guess even the same teacher may response/react differently at differnt time… so if we really want to find out something or speak to the teachers, we have to be more persistent lor… die die get hold of them, hahaha…

I think the way parents approach the teacher plays a part too.

                      Hi ladies,

my DS, born in 2006, suppose to register next year for P1 in 2013…
last month i juz called up the school to check on the PV…
to my surprise, it’s already closed for children born in 2006…
                      that’s a bit too early isn’t it ??

we stayed within 1km from PC…
but as i’m not a local and DH’s old school was long closed down…
so we will definitely be in P2C…

any advice from mummies here whether i should try my luck in P2C ??
is the demand always way greater than the available slots ??

You may want to refer to the past balloting record of PCPS in this forum.
