      Hi Brenda,

I only get to hear from another mum that one particular question is very challenging, as she herself need to re read a few times before getting the right answer.

Probably has to train ds on the \"choosing' skill.

      Cheers

      Leanne

      Hi Brenda,

Not exactly sure why, cos I yet to see how he gets 3 mcq wrong for the entire paper.
I asked again, he says its not the words or meaning very close but they are of vast different.Anyway, dont really know what it is.

I guess its the techniqe in doing the questions, not so much on the assessment books.I have thrown out few assessment books as ds never have a single mistake in it.

      Cheers
      Leanne

      Hi Leanne

In this case have to wait for the paper to return in order to find out why. Indeed this part 1 - MCQ (46 marks) is good to score as don't need to worry like part 2 (compre) that may write the wrong word or not answer correctly to the requirement.

      Best Regards

          Hi ladies,

Go to Maid's McGrill promotion 1-for-1 in KSP forum and print out voucher to bring your kids to try out the new burger in McDonalds (till 7 Mar only). Taste good and DS and I like the ingredients - piece of chicken fillet (instead of the usual processed meat), fresh lettuce and slices of tomatoes. Really worth the deal.

thanks Pen88n for sharing.....McDs business swamping with ksp-ees now .. :thankyou:

                  Hi Brenda & Leanne,

DD also mentioned her Maths & science papers were tough and some students didn't even have time to finish their papers. Dunno her results yet and haven't seen the papers so I'm wondering if the papers are set harder in preparation for PSLE (wishful thinking on my part) or just my DD not keeping up :nailbite:

                  Hi Tinkerbelle

Don't worry. I use to hear that the school would usually set the paper tough for P6 in the CA1 so as to make the parent wake up and work extremely hard with their children.

So far dd EL and Maths are still quite ok except Science a bite weaker.

Anyway, there is still time to catch up. 加油

                  Hi Brenda,
Thanks. I'm hoping that's the case.....set tough paper as a wake-up call to parents & students. So far, DD only got her MT marks back....I haven't seen the paper yet but as expected, DD lost all her marks in her compre. Looks like we really need to work on her CL compre.

Like you said, we still have time to catch up, right? šŸ˜‰ Hopefully, my DD doesn't have many subjects to catch up with after CA1 results are back....keke

                    Hi Tinkerbelle,

Thanks for your well wishes.I believe the school will set tougher paper to \"scare\"them.

They had a mock chinese CA,so tough that even for first section MCQ, ds did not score well.Yet to see the full paper. But, its a good check point, has let him starting to do CHINESE MCQ again, and hopefully in sa1 will do better.
                    Hi Leanne,

Look on the optimistic side....Maybe because your DS's sch is a SAP sch thus the tougher CL paper.

Practising CL MCQ sounds like a good idea. That's what I plan to do with DD but in her CL compre. As Brenda mentioned in her earlier post, you still have time to catch up so tell your DS don't give up, ya. Aim for an improvement in SA1. :rahrah: 加油!! :rahrah: 加油!!

Sounds like \"I am Number 4\" is a not-bad....DS has completed the book days back before the show started screening in cinema. Though he is not interested to watch now, this mummy is now interested due the 'influence' here by ksp parents.. šŸ˜‰ ..... :lovesite:

DD also finished reading the book \"I am Number 4\" the day before she watched the movie. She mentioned some minor details & scenes were omitted in the movie but still an enjoyable movie. DH and DD were still talking about the movie this afternoon.
